What is Disney Infinity? Disney Infinity is a brand new game that stars some of the biggest characters from Pixar and Disney's most popular movies. The game provides players with endless opportunity to create stories and explore the endless world of Disney Infinity. At the time of worldwide launch, August 2013, players will be able to explore the worlds of The incredibles, Monsters University and Pirates of the Caribbean. Other Play Sets and Characters will be announced soon, but these will most likely include Toy Story, Wreck-it-Ralph, Phineas and Ferb, Nightmare Before Christmas, Cars, Walt Disney World Resort. Each playset is opened through placing Power Discs and Characters onto the 'Infinity Base'. The game has two main modes, Play Set and Toy Box. Through playing the Play Sets, you can unlock unique characters, gadgets and vehicles, all of are saved to your Toy Box. Here you can create your own adventures, providing endless opportunities.
